The reason being that the ongoing track improvement program has unfinished work that may not have been completed in the time available.

Adelaide International Raceway owner Bob Jane and AMRS directors Garry Willmington and Rod Dale felt it would be in the best interest of the competitors to make the change now in order to have ample time for teams to plan for the event. Both parties are keen for Adelaide to be included in the 2008 calendar at what promises to be a first class venue.

The date for the round at Wakefield Park remains unchanged for July 14/15
