Federal 595RS-R the tyre of choice for Superlap 2009 Clubsprint Class Champion!

Experienced motorsports enthusiast and competitor Jeramiah Thomas already has a string of wins under his belt from past race events. Competing at mostly club level Jeremiah has tested many brands and types of semi-slick motorsport tyres.

With the Superlap time attack event growing rapidly in popularity in Australia Jeramiah knew that he had to have a go at this major event held at Oran Park raceway in Sydney in March 2009.
According to the regulations governing entry into the Clubsprint Class competitors must choose a tyre with a treadwear rating over 100. After researching brands and types of tyres Jeramiah decided that the Federal 595RS-R was his best option.

"Having done the vast majority of my circuit driving on R compound track tyres, the thought of entering Superlap in Clubsprint Class on street / track tyres was never an easy one".
"Clubsprint class rules required a tyre that had a UTQG rating of greater than 100, so I needed an Extreme Performance street / track tyre. After discussions with many of the major brands motor sports divisions I decided that my best chance was to use the Federal 595 RS-R. This decision was largely based on actual performance in drift championships. I wasn't disappointed".

"Without question the 595RS-R is to date the best performing extreme performance street / track tyre I have used. The tyre demonstrated quick steering response and lateral grip levels beyond my expectations. I was also pleased to feel how well they stopped the car, even when cold".
"The RS-R's were good for 3-4 hot laps at Oran Park before beginning to exhibit fade, and this is comparable with my experience of R spec tyres. I can say that the tyre complimented my car well even on a challenging circuit like Oran Park and given the same competition rules I wouldn't hesitate to make the same tyre choice again. It was definitely a factor in the end result".

Jeramiah blitzed the field in the Clubsprint class winning the overall class champion trophy, fastest 4wd and fastest 4 cylinder trophies, with his nearest competitor a whole 1.3 seconds slower!
